JB for Governor seeks a Body Person to Lieutenant Governor Candidate Christian Mitchell for the 2026 Illinois gubernatorial race.
Job Summary
The Body Person will serve as a close aide to Christian Mitchell, traveling with him to all campaign events across the state. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of the candidate’s schedule, ensuring each event runs smoothly, and preparing and delivering thorough briefings. A key part of the role includes driving the candidate to and from campaign events, maintaining punctuality, discretion, and professionalism throughout.
The Body Person will report to the Director of Advance and work closely with every department within the campaign, particularly scheduling and advance. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Chicago, IL, with frequent travel across Illinois—including overnight trips—and non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as the campaign calendar demands.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel to all events candidate attends in support of JB for Governor campaign
- Drive candidate to and from events, ensuring timeliness and safety
- Confirm logistics and event details with traveling party and campaign staff
- Manage memos and documents in order to brief candidate before each event
- Communicate regularly about candidate's efforts on the campaign trail
- Collaborate with campaign departments to continually improve operational best practices
