Advance Associate

JB for Governor seeks an Advance Associate for the campaign's growing Operations Department. 

Job Summary

Associates are responsible for the planning and execution of campaign events supporting Governor Pritzker. Associates should expect to join a dedicated, highly-motivated team of individuals committed to ensuring the success of each event.

Associates report to the Director of Advance and will work in tandem with every department in the campaign. The position is full time, in person and based in Chicago, IL. Weeknight and weekend work should be expected. Travel across the state of Illinois is required including occasional overnight trips. Hours are likely to change and increase over the course of the election cycle. The role offers competitive compensation and full health care, dental and vision benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, design and plan campaign events
• Liaise on behalf of the campaign with external partners
• Coordinate with production teams and vendors
• Execute planning and logistics for large and small events
• Control media access in collaboration with communications team
• Brief principals on what to expect at each event
• Manage movements and provide on-site support directly to principals
• Perform other assignments as required
