Graphic Designer
The JB for Governor campaign is seeking an experienced graphic designer to join the campaign’s growing digital department.
About the Job:
- Serve as the campaign’s primary graphic designer and establish/maintain brand standards to be followed by the remaining members of the digital team and campaign at large
- Consult and participate in review process on the visual identity for campaign content output, including through videos and on the website
- Work directly with the campaign’s Operations Director to create items for events -- including banners, signs, placards, merch, and more
- Create templates and graphic content for the campaign’s organic social and paid media program -- including digital ads, mailers, commit to vote cards, door hangers, and more
- Own the development and production of all campaign merchandise, advising on new creative ideas and opportunities to maximize our ability to connect with voters and brand the ticket
- Manage graphic projects and develop branding for oversized and thematic items (such as billboards, buses, etc)
- Work directly with the campaign’s political team to create print advertisements, invitations, and materials for events and/or constituency groups (such as Women for JB)
- Expect to work irregular campaign hours, including nights and weekends, and during rapid response moments
This is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the Creative Director based in Chicago, IL, and is not an entry-level job. Temporary remote work options can be discussed with the expectation that the position will eventually be fully in-person.
